It isn’t a surprise for us to see a reject from American Idol make his or her way to the top somehow. They are snatched up by a record label that sees their potential and makes them a star. Clay Aiken is a good example of this. He was a runner up – but for awhile his fame was big and he became more popular to the crowd than the winner Ruben Studdard.

This week Amanda Overmeyer was eliminated from “American Idol”. Does this mean that she will give up her dreams? Amanda has stated that she won’t give up hope – but that she won’t spend her entire life trying to chase after it either.

Former Drummer Of ABBA Found Dead

It is a mystery how Ola Brunkert – the former drummer for ABBA – died. He was found dead in his garden. Cuts to his neck seemed to have killed him. Police believe that his death was an accident.

Civil Guard spokesman told said an autopsy was carried out and confirmed initial investigations. “It was an accident,” he said. The spokesman said Brunkert hit his head against a glass door in his dining room, shattering the glass and cutting himself in the neck. He managed to wrap a towel around his neck and left the house to seek help, but collapsed in the garden.

Michael Jackson To Keep ‘Neverland’

Michael Jackson managed to keep his hands on Neverland after he cut a deal this week in order to keep it off the auction block. Unfortunately it seems that with his financial troubles he took away the magic that once gave the 2,500 acre wine country its appeal. It used to be one of the places that people always wanted to visit – but now it is something that is vanishing into the past like Michael Jackson himself.

Spears’ Dad Hangs Out With Ex-Federline

With all that Britney Spears has been through she is looking for support from her family and close loved ones. It seems though that some of her ‘family’ have chosen to spend there time elsewhere. Spears’ father was seen playing golf with ex Kevin Federline Saturday in L.A.’s Tarzana.

Dressed in baggy shorts, the two were photographed driving around in a golf cart. Hopefully, the golf outing was good exercise for Federline.

Jeff Healey Dies After Long Battle Against Cancer

One of the most talented rock and jazz musician – Jeff Healey – died last week at the age of 41 after years of battling against cancer. The blind musician was talented and inspired many people with his music.

Healey died Sunday evening in a Toronto hospital, said bandmate Colin Bray, who was in the room with Healey’s family when the guitarist died. The Grammy-nominated Healey rose to stardom as the leader of the Jeff Healey Band, a rock-oriented trio that gained international acclaim and platinum record sales with the 1988 album “See the Light.” The album included the hit single “Angel Eyes.”
