‘Cousin Brucie’ Leaving Sirius Radio

Sirius Satellite Radio has many different artists in their contract, but it seems that the legendary classic rock artist, DJ Bruce Morrow, better known as “Cousin Brucie” has taken himself off the air. The move came as something of a surprise, given wide speculation that Morrow would return to his traditional radio roots in New York once his contract with Sirius expired. The loquacious Morrow, who calls himself Cousin Brucie and regularly refers to his listeners as “cousins,” will continue hosting two shows playing music from the 1950s and 1960s for Sirius, “Cousin Brucie’s Saturday Night Party” and “Rockin’ with the Cuz.”

History Of The Guitar

Rock is possibly the most listened to genre of music. And of course the main instrument for rock is the guitar. There are many different types of guitars that can be found including acoustic and electric. The guitar usually has six strings, but four, seven, eight, ten, and twelve string guitars also exist. Guitars are made and repaired by luthiers.

Jimmy Hendrix

James Marshall Hendrix was born in Seattle, Washington in 1942. Hendrix grew up listening to his father’s collection of blues and rhythm-and-blues (R&B) records and showed a keen interest in the guitar from a young age. After dropping out of high school he spent a short time in the United States Army as a paratrooper in the late 1950s and early 1960s, but he quit the military to pursue a musical career. Something that he beleived was his calling.
